Herbal Grief Workshop with Julia Braun

In this workshop, Julia invites participants to explore herbal medicine not as a cure for grief, but as a compassionate companion to it. Together, participants will learn about plants specific for grief support, will watch a demo of medicine making, and will have an opportunity for connection, support, and discussion. Each participant will receive a small herbal gift following the workshop.

Julia Braun

Julia Braun is a clinical mental health counselor and community herbalist dedicated to bridging the wisdom of herbal medicine with evidence-based mental health care. She graduated from the Berkeley Herbal Center's Clinical Herbalist Program in 2019 and has practiced as a community herbalist ever since, helping others cultivate meaningful relationships with plants, the natural world, and the healing power of ritual. In 2026, she earned her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oregon State University, deepening her work in trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and nervous system regulation.

Julia believes healing happens through relationship, whether it is within ourselves, our communities, or through nature. Her work explores the ways plants can offer gentle support for the body while creating space to honor the heart. Through this integrative approach, she is committed to helping reconnect people with both the grounding of mental health and the enduring wisdom of plant medicine.
